AutoCAD Electrical and Experience Solar Engineer – Single‑Line Diagrams for Liberia’s First Net‑Metering Solar Projects
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We have secured a contract to design and install solar‑photovoltaic systems at two high‑profile sites in Liberia West Africa:
1. NUCAL Building – Contractor: A‑1 Technical Engineering Solutions Ltd
2. Ministry of Mines and Energy – Contractor: A‑1 Technical Engineering Solutions Ltd
Both installations are part of Liberia’s inaugural net‑metering program. The selected engineer will produce IEC‑compliant single‑line diagrams (SLDs) in AutoCAD, covering wiring, component sizing, protection devices, and panel arrangements (series/parallel where applicable).
Scope of Work
- Create detailed single‑line diagrams for each site in accordance with IEC 60364‑7‑712, EC 60364‑4‑41/43, IEC 60364‑5‑52, IEC 60898, IEC 60947‑2, and local electrical regulations.
- Include all system components: inverters, PV modules, battery banks, bi‑directional meters, circuit breakers, surge‑protective devices (SPDs), fuses, and cable sizing.
- Show panel layouts, series/parallel connections, and any required bus‑bar configurations.
- Use AutoCAD (DWG format) and deliver layered drawings that can be easily updated.
- Provide a brief calculation sheet for cable sizes, breaker ratings, and SPD selection (referenced in the drawings).
System Details
Site 1 – NUCAL Building
- Inverter: Solis S6‑EH3P12K02‑NV‑YD‑L (3 units)
- PV Modules: Silfab 620 W (74 pcs)
- Battery: LB300AH/51.4 V (6 pcs)
- Bi‑directional meter: 1 unit
Site 2 – Ministry of Mines and Energy
- Inverter: Solis S6‑EH3P15K02‑NV‑YD‑L (2 units)
- PV Modules: Silfab 620 W (56 pcs)
- Battery: LB300AH/51.4 V (4 pcs)
- Bi‑directional meter: 1 unit
Deliverables
1. Two separate AutoCAD DWG files (one per site) with clear SLDs and component schedules.
2. PDF copies of the drawings for review. Include our company logo, contract and client
3. A short technical memo (max 2 pages) summarizing key design decisions (cable sizing, breaker ratings, SPD coordination).
4. Develop a detailed BOQ of materials in Excel
Timeline
- Initial draft: 5 business days after award.
- Final revisions: within 3 business days of client feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with AutoCAD electrical drafting, preferably for solar PV projects.
- Familiarity with IEC standards and net‑metering requirements.
- Ability to interpret electrical specifications and produce accurate, professional drawings.
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness to revisions.
Budget & Payment
If you are a detail‑oriented electrical drafter with a strong background in solar PV and can meet the above requirements, please submit a brief proposal, your portfolio of relevant AutoCAD drawings of solar, and your rate. We look forward to working with a skilled professional to bring Liberia’s first net‑metering project to life.
