Resolve Elastic Indexing Exceptions

Job ID: 39994955

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

I’m running a new Elastic Cloud serverless subscription to centralise logs from two Windows servers—one serving IIS sites, the other hosting MSSQL. Kibana is showing a stream of “failed to index document” messages, all from logs-elastic_agent-default. The errors hit both IIS and MSSQL servers.

I don’t know the exact Elastic version (it’s whatever serverless currently ships), but I can grant you remote access to my machine, and we can see together the issue in the console.

What I need is straightforward:
• Pinpoint why I have this error is triggered—whether it’s roles, index privileges, pipeline or template issues.
• Apply and test the fix so every incoming IIS and MSSQL log line is indexed without loss.
• Deliver a concise summary of what you changed, along with any best-practice hardening tips I should adopt going forward.

Please keep service disruption to a minimum while you work.
