Production cluster is breaking after Root X3 expiry on 30 September.
Cluster:
- Ubuntu 18.04
- Bare metal Kubernetes 1.16 with 5 nodes total
- Docker 19.03
- Traefik 1.7.14 with DNS-01 acme challenges
- Helm 3
- NFS for data
- Multiple domains
- Elasticsearch, and Minio statefulsets data to be preserved
Tasks:
I would like to structure this in a few phases:
Phase 1:
Troubleshoot and repair:
Troubleshoot and Repair current cluster as is if possible to make applications available - Urgent, Immediate, Production platform is down. Please specify cost for this phase 1 on its own.
Phase 2:
Start upgrading infrastructure as necessary:
acceptable = kubernetes from 1.16 to 1.21.x, Traefik 1.7 to Traefik 2 (NGINX is also in order if acme dns challenges can be implemented), upgrade Ubuntu 18.04 to 20.04 all whilst protecting the cluster and data
All data must be preserved - Elastic, Minio

Timeframe: Over the course of the next few days and weeks
Phase 3:
Long term, automation, scripting of deployments etc.
Timeframe: coming weeks and months
A successful delivery on phase 1 is immediately necessary please. This would be very valuable for B and other projects following as we are looking to have strong relationships with specialist in this area for more projects already scoped to come.
We'd like to plan for Phase 2 and 3 together with the right DevOps advisor for the journey ahead and costs can be refined further later on.
All required details will be given to qualifying candidate. - please remember the immediate priority is phase 1 - troubleshoot and repair.
