Fix Local Elasticsearch Config
Budget: $50 – $51 USD
I urgently need my local Elasticsearch + Kibana stack to start up cleanly. Right now it stalls with a configuration error—Kibana never reaches green status and Elasticsearch logs keep looping connection messages. Whether the root cause is a bad elasticsearch.yml, an incorrect kibana.yml setting, or a missed port/SSL flag, I just need it fixed fast so I can continue development.
You can assume a standard single-node install; I’m open to Homebrew-based, tarball, or Docker setups as long as the end result is the same: both services launch, Kibana connects without red errors, and I can create or view indices from the browser. If you discover the issue is actually “connection failed”, “index not found”, or an unexpected auth glitch, please correct it as part of the same task—I selected “Configuration error” earlier because I’m certain it isn’t an installation problem.
Deliverables:
• Working local stack: Elasticsearch and Kibana start, connect, and remain stable.
• Brief notes (markdown or text) showing what you altered—path settings, network.host, xpack, TLS, or any role-based access lines—so I can reproduce the fix.
I’m ready to screenshare or hand over log files immediately, and I’d like the job completed today.
