Project Description:
We are currently facing a critical issue with our Wazuh/Elastic stack. After a recent upgrade, we noticed that approximately 75% of our Wazuh dashboards are missing. This has significantly impacted our monitoring and security analysis capabilities. We are uncertain if this problem is due to an incorrect version being installed or if changes in Wazuh/Elastic have led to this issue. We are seeking a highly experienced Wazuh/Elastic expert to guide us through the troubleshooting and recovery process to restore our system to full functionality.
Responsibilities:
Diagnosis: Quickly and accurately diagnose the cause of missing dashboards in our Wazuh/Elastic stack.
Guidance: Provide clear, step-by-step guidance to our local development team for implementing fixes and updates.
Review and Verification: After the local team has made changes, review the work to ensure it resolves the issue and that the system is configured optimally.
Strategic Advice: Offer strategic advice on maintaining and upgrading our Wazuh/Elastic stack to prevent similar issues in the future and to enhance our security and monitoring capabilities.
Required Skills and Experience:
Expert Knowledge: Deep understanding of both Wazuh and Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana). This includes installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience in resolving similar issues, with references or case studies.
Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly understand complex systems and identify the root cause of issues.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to provide clear, understandable guidance to non-expert internal teams.
Advisory Skills: Experience in offering strategic advice for system improvements and scalability.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Wazuh and Elastic Stack in complex environments.
Previous experience in successfully diagnosing and resolving dashboard and data integration issues.
Familiarity with the latest versions of Wazuh and Elastic Stack and their compatibility requirements.
Certification in Wazuh/Elastic Stack technologies is a plus.
Work Arrangement:
This is a remote consulting position. The consultant will work closely with our internal development team as needed.
The tasks may be sporadic. Initially, the focus will be on diagnosing and resolving the current issue, followed by periodic consultations for system optimization and upgrades.
