Virtual Private Tutor

We are looking for an experienced, communicative and organized Tutor who has experience working with students.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of teaching elementary school children;
• Experience with tutoring for the level of 8th grade (mathematics, language arts, science, and social studies);
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or subject-matter field preferred;
• Experience in working with video conferencing softwares and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.

Additional requirements:

• Emotional maturity and stability;
• Patient, flexible, positive, consistent, dependable and punctual personality;
• Must be able to speak English fluently and have a good listening skill;
• Creative approach to teaching online;
• Confidence to encourage, praise and challenge students' progress;
• Available to work 1pm to 5pm or 2pm to 6pm Monday through Friday (check which timezone).


Responsibilities and Duties:

• Planning and delivering lessons on-line in a friendly, engaging and considerate manner;
• Prepare students for exams or tests required for acceptance to education or training opportunities;
• Use relevant tutoring methods and materials;
• Keep student records, produce progress reports and make sure all individual student information is safely filed away.
