I run a private English & Literature tutoring practice and now want to expand by enrolling pupils directly through UK schools. The work centres on outreach: identifying suitable primary, secondary and A-level institutions, speaking with heads of English or parent-engagement staff, explaining the value of personalised support in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary and the wider syllabus, and then converting that interest into confirmed student sign-ups.
Practical steps include researching target schools, crafting concise email or phone pitches, following up via LinkedIn or preferred channels, and recording every contact in a simple shared CRM or spreadsheet. Clear, friendly communication and an understanding of the UK education structure are essential so the conversations feel natural and compliant with school safeguarding policies.
Deliverables
• A vetted list of schools approached, with date, contact name/role and outcome
• At least ten students (or equivalent small groups) who have formally expressed interest and provided contact details for enrolment
• A brief weekly progress summary outlining wins, obstacles and next actions
