Outsystems Tutor and Developer
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I need an Outsystems expert with thoughtful, fluent English communication skills to live-coach me through building a tool in Outsystems Service Studio. I'm having a hard time finding good resources to provide me with the skills to build independently. About me: I am a Systems Admin, Systems Analyst & PM not a Developer, though I've completed coursework in C & Python & SQL. I've completed most of the Reactive Web Development Course available on the Outsystems site. I've already started building my application and still get lost on navigation and where to set all the properties. I've been in the software development industry for 20+ years, lead teams and trainings, and learn well if ideas are presented in an organized way (such that simple concepts get built upon by more complex concepts).
I am currently tasked with building a tool on my company's Enterprise Outsystems platform. We will have to use Google to video conference and I will share my screen .
The major functional components are:
1) 5) Enabling two way communication via REST API with another system
2) Role-based-Home Page/Navigation menu with role-based menu items.
3) One Request form with cascading dependent dropdowns and multi-select widgets (data sources are just entities in Outsystem, no external data sources) - send form responses via API to external system
4) Ability for power users to edit and add rows to 4 separate master lists that serve as data sources for above request form.
5) Receive data via REST API to populate a couple of tables
6) Build a search page of the tables received via the REST API including visualizations of the data
I am limited to using certain layouts and common modules that are part of my company's platform. I'll need help building this tool using only the dependencies I am authorized to use (i.e. I can't install just anything from the Forge). There will be times we run up against corporate information security policies that we need to troubleshoot to remain compliant with. I will also look to you for recommendations on data modeling and architecture.
Ideally we can meet 2 hours at a time around 7:30pm Pacific Time at least 2 times during the week. Please quote your low-high range of what you would charge by the session. My budget is $25-50 USD/session (not by hour, to avoid complex accounting; you are free to terminate session at exactly the 2 hour mark). For the first 3 sessions I will pay on the lower end of your range. We'll decide if we want to continue at the end of each session. If we make it past 3 sessions, your rate will increase to the high end of your range.
