Middle School Humanities & Math Tutor

Job ID: 39838503

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

I need a patient, engaging online tutor who can guide a small group of middle-school learners through Language Arts while also weaving in light philosophy discussions and occasional refreshers on primary-level mathematics. Your lessons should strengthen reading comprehension, analytical writing, and critical-thinking skills, then pivot smoothly into Socratic dialogues or short logic exercises to spark curiosity, finishing with clear explanations of foundational arithmetic when gaps appear.

You must hold a recognised teaching certification, be genuinely comfortable around younger students—many of these learners worked with you at a primary level before transitioning upward—and demonstrate proven success in both Language Arts and Mathematics. Interactive whiteboards, Google Classroom, Zoom, Nearpod, or similar tools are welcome so long as sessions stay lively and student-centred.

Deliverables
• Weekly 60-minute live sessions (min. 2 per week)
• Tailored lesson plans sent 24 h before each class
• Brief progress snapshot after every session highlighting strengths, challenges, and next steps
• End-of-month cumulative report and recommended reading/viewing list

If this blend of reading, writing, philosophy, and maths sounds like your sweet spot, tell me about one recent success story and the digital tools you used to achieve it.
