Required Freelancer/Team Portuguese Copyeditor and Indexer for a upcoming project
Budget: €1,500 – €3,000 EUR
For the copyedit role:
We want the person to understand Orthographic and Grammatical rules and able to apply the styles as per the manual and standardize the same in the word file, which we will then design to make a PDF for Print Book generation.
The person will be provided with a blank template with macros and he/she will have to pull the raw word manuscript and apply the styles (e.g. note, title, subtitle, etc.) Thereafter the person will have to do a technical review which will consists of –
(1) conference of legislation and regulatory instruments;
(2) Conference of the data of the judgements of higher Courts;
(3) Conference of international convention and treaties;
(4) Analysis of legal concepts brought by the author;
(5) suggestion of texts or themes to authors, when and only if necessary.
For the Indexer role
Also it will be good to have the person able to perform Indexing. The index may be by subject onomastic, reverse onomastic. I hope this is helpful and I'm able to clarify the requirements. An ideal role will that be of a person who has worked with Academic Book publishing.
