I need a proofreader

My project is a novel of approximately 82,000 words. I am preparing it for self-publishing. It has gone through multiple drafts but I am still finding the odd typo and it needs a fresh pair of eyes. Any comments on clarity, style, readability etc would also be welcome; but I'm not looking for a copy-edit. I have attached the first chapter as a sample.
