Translate War Novel to Italian -- 2
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I’m ready to hand over my full-length historical-fiction manuscript—a psychological drama told as a fictionalised military memoir—for a faithful, engaging Italian translation. The story blends wartime realism with intimate emotional relationships, so every nuance of both battlefield tension and personal introspection must come through clearly in Italian prose that feels native, natural, and period-authentic.
Scope
• Translate the complete English manuscript (historical fiction / war literature) into polished Italian.
• Preserve tone: psychological depth, military terminology, and subtle emotional shifts.
• Maintain consistency in rank designations, era-appropriate language, and cultural references.
• Provide a short glossary of any specialised or era-specific terms you standardise.
Process & Deliverables
1. Initial draft translation, chapter by chapter.
2. Self-revision pass for accuracy, flow, and voice.
3. Final proofread incorporating my feedback.
4. Clean, publication-ready Italian manuscript in Word (or preferred editable format) plus the term glossary.
Ideal collaborator
• Native Italian speaker with proven literary translation experience.
• Comfortable with military and wartime vocabulary as well as psychological themes.
• Able to meet agreed milestones and communicate questions on context or nuance promptly.
If you’re passionate about bringing complex war narratives to new readers, I look forward to reading your sample of a previous similar project—or feel free to translate a 1-page test excerpt after we connect.
