Translate Local News Section

Job ID: 40096318

Budget: $14 – $30 NZD

I have a batch of more than five pages from the newspaper’s Local news section that needs to be rendered into clear, natural Spanish. The work is confined strictly to the News portion—no Sports, Entertainment, or other content—so your focus can stay on local reporting, community events, and city-level announcements.

Source files will come as clean PDFs; if you prefer an alternative format (e.g., Word or Google Docs) let me know and I can supply the text that way as well. I care about accuracy in meaning and tone rather than perfect layout replication, but keeping headlines, bylines, and paragraph breaks recognizable is essential for my editor’s review.

Deliverables
• Spanish-language version of every article, headline, sub-headline, and caption within the provided Local news pages
• Returned as an editable document (Word or Google Docs) with the original English immediately above or alongside the Spanish for easy cross-checking
• A brief note flagging any idioms, references, or place names that might require further clarification before publication

If you have prior experience translating journalistic copy or AP-style text, that will accelerate my decision. Please include a short sample or link to similar work so I can assess fit. I’m ready to move as soon as I find the right linguist, and I’m happy to answer any follow-up questions you have about scope or formatting.
