Spanish Translation for Educational Stories
Budget: €18 – €36 EUR
I have a set of short, English-language stories for 9- to 12-year-olds that each centre on a clear moral value—honesty, empathy, perseverance and the like. They now need to live in Spanish without losing their educational punch or sounding “grown-up.”
Your task is to translate the collection (roughly 10 000 words in total, spread across ten stories) into smooth, engaging Spanish that feels age-appropriate and is easy to read aloud in class or at home. Please keep vocabulary within the CEFR B1–B2 range, avoid regional slang, and make sure every moral lesson remains explicit.
What I’ll need from you
• A polished Spanish version of each story delivered in Google Docs or Word, ready to publish.
• A brief translator’s note whenever you adapt a cultural reference or phrase so I can track your choices.
Acceptance criteria
• Native-level flow with no awkward calques.
• Consistent tone across stories; educational but fun.
• Final text passes a basic grammar-check (Grammarly/LanguageTool) with minimal flags.
I’d like the first three stories back within one week, with the remainder wrapped up two weeks after that. If you have experience translating or writing children’s literature and can share a short sample, I’m eager to read it and move forward.
