Scientific Editor for Biomedical Journal Launch
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
We are launching Sci-Lum, a new open-access biomedical journal focused on supporting early-career researchers and promoting transparent, high-quality scientific publishing. We are currently looking for a professional scientific editor with experience in academic publishing, particularly in the field of biomedicine or related disciplines.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and editing submitted manuscripts for clarity, coherence, grammar, and scientific accuracy
Ensuring adherence to journal formatting and style guidelines
Communicating professionally with authors regarding necessary revisions
Helping maintain high editorial standards throughout the publication process
Requirements:
Proven experience as a scientific or academic editor
Background in medicine, biomedical sciences, or a related field (PhD or MSc preferred)
Excellent command of English (native or near-native)
Familiarity with open-access publishing is a plus
Experience with reference management and citation formatting tools (e.g., EndNote, Zotero)
