Romance Novel Editor for Long-Term Work
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm seeking an all-around editor with a deep understanding and passion for Contemporary Romance, particularly within the LGBT+ community, for continued, long-term work with our publishing house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit at least one novel per month, with potential for increased workload
- Provide comprehensive edits covering grammatical issues, storyline consistency, and character development
- Suggest any necessary changes to the narrative or dialogue
Ideal Candidate:
- Well-versed in the Contemporary Romance genre
- Some familiarity with LGBT+ storylines
- Exceptional skills in grammar, punctuation and editing
- Able to ensure storyline consistency and character development
- Willing to partner long-term with our publishing house

We are open to new editors and those without much previous work experience or a large portfolio AS LONG AS you are passionate about working and growing together and have a discerning eye. We want someone to help work with us to take our manuscripts from good to great, so we are not looking for editors who are soft or easy on the material.
Please provide your rate for each monthly edit on one book in the 60-70k range.
