Read, edit, consult on my WIP 8 part series book
Budget: $8 – $12 USD
I'm 24 years old and have recently become a published author. I've been writing since I was 7, and right now I am working on my biggest series yet. I have a good feeling about it and I need an editor to collaborate with. I've never had one before, I've always done my own editing, but I'm juggling multiple projects at once so I would need an assistant.
Job description:
Looking for someone who:
- likes to read for fun, (preferably in English + contemporary fiction, fantasy, crime, romance) someone who loves books
- has good English knowledge (grammar, reading, writing)
- is creative and enjoys making up stories and other universes
Extra:
- if you like creating TikTok videos + know what Booktok is we could also talk about $ for content creation
Job description:
- reading a 108k word manuscript which is part of an 8 book WIP book series
- giving notes, suggestions, ideas etc. to improve manuscript
- reading what I continue writing & editing for literary agents & publishing house & Amazon
- I estimate around 3-4 hours a week of work if we start working together, not including the reading of the manuscript itself (that will be an extra one time payment)
- I would like someone I can easily work with, who likes the story and is passionate about books, writing, editing
- Could become a long term collaboration if you're interested and we work well together.
What I can offer:
- a one time payment for reading the manuscript
- hourly pay for 3-4h a week (including a short virtual meeting per week to discuss plans)
- % of the royalties once it is published
