Queer Sci-Fi Sequel Ghostwriter
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
I have just wrapped my debut queer speculative-sci-fi novel and I’m ready to expand the universe. You will receive the finished manuscript along with 28 pages of raw sequel notes—characters arcs, half-formed scenes, scraps of dialogue—and your job is to turn that material into a fully realised second book while honouring everything that made the first story sing.
What must carry over
• Deep-dive character development that keeps my messy, loveable protagonists front-and-centre
• Consistent world-building, from the bio-luminescent cityscapes to the interspecies council protocols
• The thematic spine: queer joy, absurdist futurism, and the question of how these perspectives help humanity evolve
Essential queer elements
Identity exploration stays at the core, but I also want the sequel to play with psychedelic science, primatology, and thanatology; think of it as a cosmic love-letter to chosen family in the face of extinction-level weirdness.
How we’ll work together
I’m looking for a true partner, not a silent ghost. Expect regular brainstorming calls, co-writing of key chapters in shared docs, and iterative draft reviews so we both sign off on every major turn.
Deliverables
• Detailed outline for the sequel (act breaks, key beats, POV assignments)
• First 15k words polished to publication quality
• Ongoing chapter drops until we hit a complete draft ready for my editor
• A brief process log so I can track creative decisions for marketing and future books
Validation matters. Please share specific queer sci-fi titles you’ve ghostwritten or co-written (pen-name references are fine if NDAs apply). Generic copy-paste pitches will be ignored. Together, let’s make a sequel that feels inevitable, outrageous, and utterly alive.
