Microsoft Word Variable Text Implementation
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am searching for an experienced Microsoft Word expert capable of implementing variable text in my existing technical documentation.
Skills required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word
- Understanding of variable text handling
- Prior experience with technical documentation
I am writing a dual-language book in English and Italian. I based my Word document on a Normal template. I have added styles to implement headings and body paragraphs in English and in Italian. There is, for example, a Head1, Head1English, Head1Italian, textbody, textbodyEnglish, textbodyItalian. Each tag has appropriate language settings in the proofing tools. I think that my style catalog is organized and logical. Each level borrows from the one above it. For example, textbody2 and textbody3 inherit styles from textbody. The catalog is structured so that I have to make minimal changes to a style and it filters down to all its "child" styles.
I want to access that language setting to create a condition. My goal is to publish this book in either language or in parallel language where both English and Italian are shown.
The end goal is to have a system wherein certain parts of my text can be changed easily and dynamically according to the requirements. Your applied expertise in presence of my guidance will lead us to develop a successful documentation toolbox.
