Microsoft Word Specialist Needed for Document Merging

I require an expert in Microsoft Word to assist me with the formatting and layout of my masters thesis. This include merging two documents. One is primarily text-based and the other is image-based.
The image based document contains one or multiple images accompanied by descriptive text.

The Challenge is to merge the two documents in such a way that the layout (positions of text and image) are respected and remain the same after the merging.
