Memoir Publishing: Print & Ebook
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
My 2,944-word memoir is finished in Microsoft Word and already reads well, but I now need expert help with publishing and distribution. The priority is getting the book into readers’ hands as a professionally produced, 5x9 hard cover, paperback and ebook.
Here is what I’m looking for:
• Guidance on the most cost-effective self-publishing platforms (Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, etc.) and the steps to set them up correctly under my own accounts.
• Interior layout and conversion from the current Word file into press-ready PDF for print and a clean EPUB for ebook stores.
• Light final polish only if small grammar or formatting issues are spotted during layout—no heavy developmental editing required.
• ISBN strategy, metadata, keywords, pricing recommendations, and placing the files so the book goes live worldwide. I have a designed book cover that needs adjustment for the additional pages. Please provide recommendations if identified, to help book sell. The Content page should not have secondary titles as reader may not choose to read book if too much information is disclosed.
• A short walkthrough (zoom, Loom video, or document) so I understand how to monitor sales and update the title later.
I’m not pursuing an audiobook right now, but I’d like the workflow kept flexible enough that we could add audio later if the book performs well.
Deliverables
1. Print-ready PDF that meets KDP and IngramSpark specifications.
2. Validated EPUB for Kindle and other major ebook retailers.
3. Completed setup of titles in my chosen platforms with metadata filled in and distribution switched on.
4. Handover guide explaining future updates and royalty dashboards.
