Looking for a Copy Editor to Join our Team
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Hello,
It’s time to grow our team, and we’d like to be part of it.
We are looking to add an editor to the team to help keep our contemporary romance writers productive. They are concurrently working separate ongoing projects, so there is a need for consistent editing.
We need someone who can quickly respond to copy editing, proofreading, and make sure the story is holding together. While we try to keep our writers’ milestones offset, there may from time to time, be short notice for project turn around, so appreciate flexibility.
We’re developing a four-book series in the contemporary romance category.
The 4-book project is as follows:
Book 1 = 30,000 words
Book 2 = 45,000 words
Book 3 = 45,000 words
Book 4 = 50,000 words
Our rate is $0.003/word for copy editing and proofreading and will have Milestones for each 10k-12k edited from each writers’ project, as well as a proof of the final draft.
Edits will be performed in Word with tracking changes using the Chicago Manual of Style to be provided to our writers.
If you are interested in joining the team, please let us know your typical turnaround time for 10,000 words, your experience with editing contemporary romance, and a recent work sample.
