Diwan is looking for three dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our curriculum writing and development team. These roles are part of our ongoing efforts to enhance and expand our Islamic studies curriculum with excellence and clarity across all grade levels.
Available Positions:
1. Middle School Curriculum Editor & Developer
Responsibilities:
- Edit and rewrite chapters for middle school-level Islamic studies, ensuring language is appropriate, engaging, and rigorous
- Simplify content from high school versions while maintaining accuracy and academic integrity
- Work closely with our lead editor to ensure consistency and clarity across the curriculum
2. High School Curriculum Editor & Developer
Responsibilities:
- Edit and refine high school-level Islamic studies chapters
- Improve content structure, language, and overall flow for clarity and depth
- Ensure theological accuracy and academic tone, with attention to detail in Arabic terminology and diacritics
3. Lesson Plan Creator (All Grade Levels, k-12)
Responsibilities:
-Develop structured, age-appropriate lesson plans for elementary, middle, and high school levels
-Align each plan with textbook content and learning objectives
-Incorporate attention grabbers, interactive activities, and assessments
*General Requirements for All Roles:*
- Strong background in Islamic studies and/or curriculum design
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Ability to follow editorial guidelines and collaborate with a lead editor
- Comfortable working with deadlines and delivering high-quality work independently
