Identify 1940s Champagne Hour Dances
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have about 20 minutes of silent 16 mm footage captured during a Catskills hotel “Champagne Hour” in the late 1940s–50s. There are about ten videos, all in mp4 format. I need a clear, confident identification of every dance style visible in each video.
The focus is on Latin dances of that era: think Rumba, Mambo, Tango, Cha-Cha, Merengue, as well as Foxtrot and Lindy, and other styles as they were actually danced in post-war America. Modern variants or broader choreography analysis are not part of this assignment.
Deliverable
• MP4 vidios of each couple.
Once I have your list I will come back for assistance in syncing authentic recordings. Before I upload any vidoes I want to vet the qualifications of Freelances who are interested. For someone who is an accomplished ball room dance, the intial task of identifying the type of dances in each video should not take more that 30 minutes
