Ghostwriter/ editor to edit a chapter in my historical novel

Job ID: 33673440

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

This contest is to edit/ improve just one chapter of my historical fiction book. (warning for the faint hearted-there is a bit of colorful language)
I have written 200,000 words of a (true) historical novel. But I'm flagging and not good at spotting where it's weak/ inconsistent/ misleading/ bad sentence structure/ rookie errors/ add a romantic subplot or two etc.

So I want a fluent native speaker to be a ghostwriter for me and liven it up and fix it so it is ready for final editing.
Ideally, you will have done this kind of thing before. Ideally, you might have some idea of what a port in the UK in the 1890s might feel like or be willing to research it.
Ideally, your writing style will be lively yet somewhat compatible with 1890s England.
Ideally, you will be in sympathy with the strong female and colorful other characters in the story.
Ideally, you will be familiar with the concept of the golden thread and will be able to weave that through my chapter/ book.
Ideally, you will have a degree in English or lots of experience writing literary fiction style pieces.
Ideally, you will be ace at using metaphors-as my work is somewhat lacking them and I love them but am not very skilled with them!

In this particular chapter, I feel it needs more world-building (they are in an 1890s poor kitchen near the port) and more metaphors/ more visceral language to bring the fight to life.
It can be as violent and unpleasant as you like-I feel my version is a bit too tame and lacking colour and action.
