Fiction Book Developmental Editing

Job ID: 38765263

Budget: $50 – $0 USD

I'm seeking a part-time developmental editor for my company, DreamScribe. We are a groundbreaking platform dedicated to empowering authors, not replacing them. Unlike generative AI tools that attempt to create content autonomously, DreamScribe is a unique writing assistant that uses advanced, data-driven metrics to guide authors through the creative process, ensuring their vision is realized authentically and effectively.

Our mission is to support and elevate the art of writing, leveraging technology as a partner rather than a substitute. We are reverse engineering genre success metrics and implementing it into our complex system to dynamically guide users, no matter their skill level, to a highly evolved book – the same way a writing coach would guide you and make revisions, except instantly and at a fraction of the cost.

From timelines and chapter outlines to arcs and getting the story “out of” the users with smart dynamic questioning based on user inputs, we are here to empower all people to tell a great story and navigate the often times stressful and confusing roads of publishing.

We help the user get 70-80% of the way, with them likely still needing manual post-publication support, just less of it.

Editors love better manuscripts their way and a tool they can use as well to edit faster and arm their clients with.
Authors can now get that book written, and at a high level, while still maintaining their voice (we generate no content. We are not GPT or the likes thereof).
