Experienced Editor for TV Series
Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 SGD
“Cef Nakal" is a unique 13-episode TV series that combines light-hearted drama with cooking infotainment specially tailored for a young audience aged 4 to 14 years old. The show follows the day-to-day life of 11-year-old Haikel and his widowed father, Raian. Each episode not only tells a heartwarming story but also provides step-by-step, easy-to-follow cooking instructions for two dishes featuring radical-sounding food combos and ingredients. These dishes are created and curated for the series by 13 local celebrity chefs, with each chef appearing in one of the 13 episodes.
We are looking for a talented and experienced Editor to join the “Cef Nakal” team and help bring the magic of "Cef Nakal" to life. The Editor will play a crucial role in ensuring that the storytelling, cooking demonstrations, and overall production of the series are of the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Offline and Online editing of video footage to create engaging and visually appealing episodes of "Cef Nakal" that cater to the target audience.
• Work closely with the director to maintain the narrative flow of the series.
• Seamlessly integrate cooking demonstrations into the storyline, ensuring that they are easy for young viewers to follow.
• Collaborate with the director for music selection and sound to enhance audiovisual quality and create an immersive viewing experience.
• Incorporate special effects and graphics as needed to enhance the entertainment value of the show.
• Organize and maintain media files, ensuring that all necessary assets are readily accessible.
• Each episode will feature local celebrity chefs. Edit footage featuring each 13 local celebrity chefs to showcase their culinary expertise and personalities, which forms 13 webisodes that are posted on social media accompanying the broadcast series.
• Meet project deadlines and adhere to the broadcast schedule.
Requirement:
• Proven experience as a video editor, preferably in television or web series production.
• Must be able to understand Bahasa Melayu.
• Possess own computer editing equipment and professional editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Broadband internet access for downloading raw footage and uploading the approved finished product.
• Strong understanding of storytelling and the ability to maintain a consistent narrative in a hybrid series like "Cef Nakal”.
• Familiarity with cooking techniques and an appreciation for engaging young audiences.
• Creativity in using graphics, special effects, and sound design to enhance the entertainment value of the series.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
