Budget: $50 – $75 USD
I will provide my sample book and book that needs formatting to the successful bidder.
I have a finished manuscript that only needs professional formatting. I will send you a Word document that shows exactly how every page, heading, margin, font style, table of contents and section break should look. Your task is to take my unformatted manuscript, apply those same Word styles, and give it back to me with nothing in the text itself altered—no edits, rewrites or re-flows beyond what the styles naturally do. Don't change my text or add to my text.
I will provide the documents.
Send me the first few chapters so I can see if the formatting is being done correctly.
Key points
• Follow the sample Word document as the sample source of truth for headings, sub-headings, body text, spacing, page numbering, front-matter and back-matter.
• Generate a full table of contents that mirrors the sample’s hierarchy.
My chapter headings need to follow the table of contents.
• Maintain the existing words, punctuation and line order exactly as supplied.
• Deliver the final file in Word (.docx) so I can make any last-minute tweaks before export.
I’ll consider the job complete once the new file opens side-by-side with my sample and every visual element matches.
I will own the full and exclusive copyrights to all editing work, text, images, raw files, source files, project files, and all work created for me.
I will keep all work you provide, and I will own all copyrights to all work and editing work you do for me.
I will release the full milestone when the editing is completed, delivered including source files, and accepted by me.
I do not pay any milestones until editing is completed, all files delivered, and accepted by me.
