Enchanting Children’s Fantasy Novel
Budget: $15 – $25 CAD
I’m launching a brand-new imprint for readers aged four and up and my very first need is a full children’s novel that can become the flagship of the line. The manuscript must sparkle with magic and mythical creatures, weave in strong themes of friendship and teamwork, and finish with a clear moral lesson young readers can carry with them.
What I’m looking for right now
• A complete, age-appropriate fantasy story, think picture-book length but with enough narrative depth to hold a child’s attention from cover to cover.
• Engaging language that reads aloud smoothly for parents yet remains simple enough for early independent readers.
• Characters and settings vivid enough to fuel future merchandise, classroom activities, and down the road, a fantasy movie script adaptation I already have in mind.
Why this matters
December is my showcase month; the novel must be ready for print and digital distribution in time for holiday promotion alongside my existing product lines. A polished manuscript will let me commission illustrations, cover design, and interior layout (services I’m happy to roll into later milestones with the right freelancer).

– Developmental and line editing
– Final formatting for Kindle and print-on-demand
– Cover concept collaboration with my graphics team
– Feature-length fantasy screenplay based on the book’s universe
