Insilico Medicine is looking for documentary editors with a passion for science and technology to edit a 15-30min compelling documentary story of AI-powered Drug Discovery with the footage and script(optional) we provide.


A little bit of background:

With the advancement of science and technology, human being is going to Mars in a few years. However, here on the earth, over 5000 thousands disease has absolutely no cure nor effective treatment. Sadly, creating a new drug from scratch takes about 10 years and 10 billion USD in average. That means if you're unfortunately getting a deadly disease, there's no chance that you will survive without miracle. Now, AI powered drug discovery provides a strong solution to this devastating issue. It accelerates the process for years and significantly cuts the R&D cost , which makes possible for patients to hope for effective therapeutics. Over the past few years, with Insilico Medicine's proprietary Pharma.AI platform, they've developed a novel therapeutic for a deadly disease: Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. It's the first AI discovered target and the first AI-generated small molecule getting into Phase II clinical trial, which means it's currently testing in patients with the disease.


Task Description:

We are running a competition: Docuthon, to engage storytellers worldwide to build this story in your own vision. We would offer footage provide with a timeline. You are responsible for putting these footage together in a compelling fashion. It can be educational, inspirational, emotional and etc. You could focus on the impact and advancements of what AI has brought in the field of drug discovery. The purpose is to shed light on how AI has been instrumental in accelerating drug discovery, and the hurdles that the pioneers are overcoming.
