Book Editor
Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD
I am seeking a book and poetry editor who is passionate about social issues and making the world a better place for all.
This job will suit a graduate or student of Literacy, Writing or Journalism Masters or PhD. Entry-level applicants are welcome and both volunteer and paid positions are available.
There is opportunity for possible future work with H3 Publishing, as well as having an Editor's foreword being published in the books recognising your contribution.

Responsibilities
- Reconfigure chapters to reposition into different books
- Consider rearranging chapter books into smaller books by theme
- Break poetry book down into 2 or 3 books based on purposed selection
- Review clarity, accuracy, and content
- Line editing — polish sentences for better flow
- Copy editing — spelling, grammar, and punctuation including final proofreading
- Be knowledgeable in the book genre/niche or at least show keen interest in the subject matter
- Reformat books to standard ebook configuration
Qualifications
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Editorial skills
- Sample editing
