Biology Journal Submission Assistant

Job ID: 40273928

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Several original-research manuscripts in the biological sciences are ready for their final push toward publication. They already contain solid data and figures; what they still need is meticulous language polishing, precise re-formatting for each target journal, and a hands-on shepherd who will carry every paper through the entire submission pipeline until the “accepted” email arrives.

Here is what the workflow looks like from my side: I send over a draft in Word (occasionally LaTeX). You improve clarity, fix grammar, tighten the narrative, and highlight every change with Track Changes. Next, you align the text, references, tables, and figures with the latest author guidelines of the chosen journal—down to the exact font size, line spacing, and reference style. Once everything is in shape, you prepare the cover letter, upload all required files through the journal’s submission portal, and complete the metadata forms. After submission you monitor the manuscript’s status, respond to editorial requests, share our opinion, coordinate any required revisions with me, and keep gentle, professional communication going with the editorial office until final acceptance.

Key deliverables
• Clean and marked-up versions of the edited manuscript
• Journal-compliant, fully formatted files (manuscript, figures, supplementary data, cover letter)
• Proof of submission with tracking information and periodic status reports
• Rapid turnaround on reviewer comments leading to a final acceptance notice

Working knowledge of reference managers such as EndNote or Mendeley, familiarity with typical biology journal portals (Editorial Manager, ScholarOne, eJournalPress), and an eye for scientific style guides are essential for smooth progress. If you are comfortable owning this full publication cycle, the manuscripts are ready to go.
