Beta Reader Needed for Memoir
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I am in need of a beta reader for my non-fiction memoir manuscript. Your feedback will be crucial to help me improve before I send it to agents.
Key Areas of Feedback:
- Story flow and pacing: I need to know if the story moves at the right speed, and if the flow makes sense from beginning to end.
- Emotional impact: This is a memoir, so it is important that I capture the reader's emotions. I would like to know if the emotional moments land as intended, and if there are areas that need more or less emphasis.
Ideal Skills:
- Experience in reading and critiquing memoirs or non-fiction.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback on pacing and emotional content.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate thoughts clearly.
The synopsis of this book is about how I went from being a multimillionaire Wall Street trader to losing absolutely everything which led to an extremely bad breakdown and a failed attempt to end my life. From having absolutely no idea what to do next with myself, I decided to get together the last of my money and move to Sedona, Arizona.
It was not long after I moved there where the most amazing spiritual awakening started happening for me where I started receiving messages from angels. It was all so new and exciting to me, I had no idea that I could hear messages from spiritual beings. Things quickly progressed, the messages became more frequent and then certain things started manifesting for me then I would hear "We did that for you" or even at times "I did that for you".
It was when I had been in Sedona for 7 months that things intensified even more to the point of me having a direct conversation with God. He told me that he would be teaching me about all the different ways that he communicates with his children because according to him so many of his children are losing faith in him right now. He told me to document all of my experiences with him and that it would be made into a book and that's exactly what I did. Some of the things that have happened still blow my mind to this day.
This book will be book 1 in a series of books which documents all of my encounters with the angels and God and will be like a modern day version of Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch.
Please, only apply if you have experience with memoirs or non-fiction, and can provide detailed feedback on story flow and emotional impact. Thank you!
