Article Editor
Budget: $2 – $8 AUD
I am looking for an experienced article editor who can assist me with editing articles that are more than 1000 words in length. The ideal candidate should have strong editing skills and attention to detail.
The articles will mainly be to do with birds.
Main tasks include:
1) Adding backlinks to authority websites that are SEO friendly and won't compete against my own articles
2) Adding multiple images to articles including seo image details like title attribute, and alternative text
3) Ensuring the article, where possible, contains internal links to other pages of our website
4) Fact Checking
Note: Images need to be copyright-free. If you have an account for images to use that would be great, such as shutterstock and so on. Otherwise you can use pixabay and other free sources.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Excellent grammar and spelling skills
- Proficiency in fact-checking and grammatical editing
- Familiarity with different editing styles such as AP Style and Chicago Manual Style
- Ability to work with articles of various topics and subjects
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Edit articles for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity
- Fact-check the content to ensure accuracy
- Apply the appropriate editing style based on the client's requirements
- Collaborate with the client to address any specific editing preferences
