Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Next.js developer to build a modern, seamless booking engine that integrates the ITM Projects shuttle booking API with our Webflow site using the new Webflow Cloud platform. This project will replace our existing Vue.js implementation with a more integrated, on-brand solution.
What You'll Build
You will develop a full-stack Next.js application that:
• Integrates directly with the ITM Projects booking API for shuttle reservations
• Deploys natively on Webflow Cloud for seamless brand consistency
• Provides real-time availability search, booking, and payment processing
• Maintains the same user experience as our current fireflyexpress.com.au booking system
• Leverages Webflow's design system through DevLink integration
Required Technical Skills
Essential:
• Next.js 15+ - Expert level experience with App Router and server components
• React - Advanced proficiency with hooks, state management, and component architecture
• TypeScript - Strong typing skills for API integration and component development
• API Integration - Experience with REST APIs, error handling, and data validation
• Webflow Cloud - Familiarity with Webflow Cloud deployment and DevLink (preferred but not required)
Highly Desirable:
• Cloudflare Workers - Understanding of edge runtime environments
• Payment Integration - Experience with payment processing APIs
• Form Handling - Advanced form validation and user input management
• Responsive Design - Mobile-first development approach

Project Scope & Deliverables
Phase 1: Setup & Configuration (Week 1)
• Set up Webflow Cloud project with Next.js 15
• Configure OpenNext and Wrangler for edge deployment
• Implement DevLink integration for design system consistency
• Set up GitHub repository with automated deployment pipeline
Phase 2: API Integration (Week 2-3)
• Build comprehensive ITM Projects API client
• Implement all required endpoints: Login, FindShuttle, BookShuttle, PayShuttle, ApplyPromo, GetTimetables
• Create robust error handling and validation
• Set up secure environment variable management
Phase 3: Frontend Development (Week 3-4)
• Build responsive booking form components
• Implement search results and availability display
• Create payment processing flow
• Develop booking confirmation and management features
• Ensure mobile-responsive design
Phase 4: Testing & Deployment (Week 5-6)
• Comprehensive testing across devices and browsers
• Performance optimization for edge deployment

• Authentication: Username/password with device identification
• Formats: Both JSON and form-urlencoded requests supported
• Key Endpoints: Login, shuttle search, booking, payment, promo codes, timetables

• Origin/destination selection with dropdown menus
• Date picker for departure/return dates
• Passenger count selection
• Real-time search results with pricing
• Booking flow with payment integration

• Application loads in under 2 seconds globally
• 100% mobile responsive design
• Seamless integration with Webflow site design
• Secure API key management (never exposed client-side)
• Comprehensive error handling and user feedback
User Experience Requirements:
