Directions
Find data on TWO economic variables over time, making sure to provide a visual graph of them as well. Paste the graphs and report where you got it from, the time periods the data covers, the locations ( US, a state in the US, another country, etc), which variables you looked up, and a quick summary or definition of the TWO DIFFERENT
Finally, look at the variables and notice the trends in the data. Are they flat numbers that are completely constant over time? Are there absolutely no trends? (Hint: No.) Use what you know about history, politics, economics, or any of the social sciences and comment on what trends you see over time. Do you think there’s interactions with other variables or major events that have happened in recent history? Write up your thoughts.
Make sure to pick two different variables. Essentially do the exact same steps (paste graph, give location, dates, name, definition, source, and thoughts) twice.
Length will vary from student to student, but this assignment shouldn’t take you too long. Not including the images for the graphs, if the writing is over a full page, it’s honestly probably more than you need.Links to Websites with Data
