IB Economics EE: Infrastructure
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
I am preparing my 4,000-word Economics Extended Essay for the IB Diploma Programme and have chosen to investigate how infrastructure development within India’s rapidly expanding cities drives overall economic growth. My initial idea is to narrow the focus to one or two metropolitan areas—perhaps Mumbai, Bengaluru, or Delhi—and analyse the relationship between public spending on transport links, utilities, or smart-city projects and changes in productivity, employment, and GDP.
What I need is expert guidance (and hands-on support where appropriate) to turn this idea into a properly structured IB Extended Essay that meets every criterion in the IB Economics rubric. That includes:
• Refining the research question so it is sharply focused, testable, and rooted in economic theory.
• Gathering reliable data from sources such as the Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Statistics, World Bank, and city-level reports.
• Choosing and applying suitable analytical tools—elasticities, cost–benefit analysis, growth models, regression in Stata/Excel, or comparable techniques—and presenting them in clear, IB-style diagrams and tables.
• Writing, editing, and referencing (Chicago 17th or MLA 9th, as required) so the final draft is fully academic yet accessible, with all citations and a complete bibliography ready for Turnitin submission.
• Providing brief reflections on methodology and limitations, as the IB examiner expects.
I am comfortable handling some routine formatting on my end, but the heavy lifting on economic analysis and academic writing must be original, well-sourced, and plagiarism-free. A phased approach works best—outline, first draft, revised draft, and final proofread—so I can submit interim checkpoints to my supervisor along the way.
If you have verifiable experience with IB Economics essays (or comparable undergraduate economics papers on India), please let me know how you would tackle this topic and your typical turnaround time for each milestone.
