Build an e-commerce website for selling tyres where users can search tyres based on their vehicle registration number or tyre size. The site will initially focus on B2C customers.
2. Key Features & Functionality:
A. Tyre Search by Vehicle Registration Number
- On the homepage (and search page), users can enter their vehicle registration number.
- The system calls an external vehicle data API to fetch the vehicle details (make, model, year, tyre specifications).
- Based on the returned tyre size specs, the site automatically shows compatible tyres available on the website.
- User can view tyre details, price, availability, and add to cart.
B. Tyre Search by Tyre Size
- Alternatively, users can manually enter tyre size parameters like width, aspect ratio, rim diameter.
- The site shows tyres matching those dimensions.
C. Product Catalog
- List all tyres with product images, descriptions, price, sizes, brands.
- Filtering options by brand, price, tyre type (summer, winter, all-season), and vehicle compatibility.
- Detailed product pages with specs, reviews, and related tyres.
D. Shopping Cart & Checkout
- Add tyres to cart and proceed to checkout.
- Payment gateway integration (e.g., Razorpay, PayPal).
- Order confirmation and tracking.
E. User Account (optional at start)
- Allow users to create accounts to save vehicles or favourite tyres (optional for phase 1).
