The Role
We're looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to build our marketplace platform from the ground up and own its ongoing development and maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to be the founding technical team member of an exciting startup, with significant ownership over architecture decisions and product direction.

What You'll Do
• Build and launch the Authem marketplace platform from scratch
• Design and implement both frontend and backend architecture
• Develop the bid/ask system and real-time pricing functionality
• Create user authentication, profiles, and transaction systems
• Build admin panels for inventory and verification management
• Integrate payment gateways and ensure secure transactions
• Maintain, debug, and continuously improve the platform post-launch
• Optimize for performance, scalability, and user experience
• Work directly with founders to translate vision into technical reality

Required Skills & Experience
Experience
• Minimum 1 year of professional full stack development experience
• Highly skilled developers with less than 1 year experience will also be considered
• Proven track record of building and deploying web applications
• Portfolio or GitHub profile showcasing relevant projects
Technical Skills:
• Frontend: React.js/Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, responsive design
• Backend: Node.js, Express.js (or similar framework)
• Database: MongoDB/PostgreSQL, database design and optimization
• API Development: RESTful APIs, API integration
• Version Control: Git/GitHub
• Authentication: JWT, OAuth, session management
• Payment Integration: Experience with Razorpay/Stripe/PayPal or similar
• Deployment: AWS/Google Cloud/Azure, basic DevOps knowledge
Nice to Have:
• E-commerce platform experience
• Marketplace or bidding system experience
• Mobile-responsive design expertise
• Understanding of SEO best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Soft Skills:
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Core scope
• Architecture, database design, and clean, scalable code for a product-centric marketplace.
• A live bidding system so sellers can list items and buyers can compete in real time.
• Mobile-responsive UI and fast page loads from day one.
• Solid security practices, clear API documentation, and automated test coverage.

Deliverables
1. End-to-end marketplace MVP deployed to a cloud environment I can access.
2. Admin guide covering user management, content moderation, and basic reporting.
3. Developer documentation (setup, environment variables, deployment steps, API endpoints).
4. Post-launch support plan outlining bug-fix SLAs and a roadmap for V2 features.

Acceptance criteria
• All user roles(Admin, Buyer/Seller(Combined)) can register, authenticate, and perform their unique actions without permission leaks.
• Bidding flow executes in real time, with clear feedback to both buyer and seller.
• Critical operations (login, bidding, checkout) respond in <200 ms under moderate load.
• Code passes automated linting/tests and deploys via CI/CD in one click.
