AI Agent for Comprehensive Data Analysis -- 2
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
Project Title
Build an MVP for a Personal AI Agent for On-Device Fraud Detection
Project Description
We’re seeking talented and experienced developers to help build a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for an innovative "Personal AI Agent" designed to detect fraud and financial risks directly on end-users’ devices.
This cutting-edge solution aims to empower individuals by monitoring their financial transactions, behavioral biometrics, and communication signals (e.g., email/SMS) locally—without sending sensitive personally identifiable information (PII) off-device—while delivering real-time risk alerts. Our goal is to launch a test phase by the end of June 2025, and we need your expertise to make it happen.
This project is a unique opportunity to work on a privacy-centric, low-latency fraud detection tool with potential to compliment how banks like protect their customers. If you’re passionate about AI, edge computing, and cybersecurity, and have the skills to build a robust MVP, we’d love to collaborate with you!
Project Scope
The MVP will focus on:
- On-Device Processing: Develop a lightweight system to process and analyse financial transactions (e.g., amount, merchant, timestamp) and basic communication data (e.g., email/SMS text) on a user’s device (mobile or desktop).
- Fraud Detection Rules: Implement a rules engine to flag suspicious activity (e.g., “transaction >$500 from new location”) and a simple anomaly detection model (e.g., spending pattern deviations).
- Data Security: Encrypt and store PII locally using hardware-backed security (e.g., iOS Secure Enclave, Android Keystore), sending only anonymized risk scores to a mock server.
- Core Features: Enable transaction monitoring and phishing detection as initial use cases, with a basic alert system (e.g., console output or mock notifications).
- Test Readiness: Deliver a functional prototype by June 2025 for real-world testing with sample data.
Technical Requirements
- Languages: Python (preferred for prototyping), with potential use of C++ for performance-critical components.
- Frameworks/Libraries:
- TensorFlow Lite or ONNX for lightweight ML models on-device.
- Pandas/NumPy for data processing.
- spaCy or NLTK for basic NLP (email/SMS analysis).
- Cryptography libraries (e.g., PyCryptodome) for encryption.
- Platforms: Target mobile (iOS/Android) and/or desktop (Windows/Mac) environments—specify your expertise.
- Networking: Basic client-server communication (e.g., gRPC, REST) to send anonymized data to a mock server.
- Bonus: Experience with edge computing, behavioral biometrics (e.g., keystroke dynamics), or financial APIs (e.g., Plaid).
Deliverables
- A working MVP with:
- Local data processing and storage module.
- Simple fraud detection rules and anomaly detection.
- Secure PII encryption and anonymized output.
- Documentation and setup instructions.
- Codebase optimized for performance and scalability on resource-constrained devices.
- Test scripts with sample data (e.g., mock transactions, phishing emails).
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years in software development, with proven skills in AI/ML, mobile/desktop app development, or cybersecurity.
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks.
- Experience with encryption and secure data handling.
- Ability to optimize code for edge devices (e.g., low memory/CPU usage).
- Background in fraud detection technology, fintech, or privacy-focused projects; familiarity with banking compliance (e.g., GDPR).
-Traits: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines (MVP due by June 2025).
Project Timeline
- Start Date: April 2025 (flexible based on availability).
- MVP Completion: End of June 2025 for test phase launch.
- Engagement: Part-time or full-time freelance, with regular check-ins (e.g., weekly updates).
Budget
- Open to proposals—please provide your hourly rate or fixed bid based on the scope, along with an estimated timeline.
How to Apply
Please submit:
1. A brief overview of your relevant experience and why you’re excited about this project.
2. Links to past projects (e.g., GitHub, portfolio) showcasing AI, mobile/dev app development, or security work.
3. Your proposed approach to building this MVP (high-level plan or tech stack suggestions).
4. Your availability and rate.
We’re excited to partner with developers who share our vision of building a privacy-first, user-empowered fraud detection tool. Let’s create something groundbreaking together!
