Looking For An E-book Writer For a True Crime Book Series

Job ID: 36063701

Budget: $15 – $25 USD

Serious Applicants ONLY!! Hi Writers! -Are you passionate about the world of true crime? -Do you often find yourself listening to true crime podcasts in your free time? -Would you be excited to be a part of a small, but motivated team? ::BACKGROUND:: I am looking to expand my team, so if your answers to the questions above are “yes!”, then read on… We are a small publishing company that is looking for a ghostwriter to join us on our quest to take over the true crime niche on the Amazon Kindle Store. This will be a long-term position. We are looking to release several complete books in the upcoming months. ::BOOK DETAIL:: Each book will need to be a least 28,000 words in length. Our ideal range will be 28,000 to 30,000 words per book. ::WRITING STYLE:: Our true crime book will have a special style. We want the writer to write each book like a suspense/horror book but backed up with real facts. Since this is a non-fiction book, after all. Our goal is to follow a write-it-as-it-is style. If you follow any true-crime podcast, you know what we mean. ::STORY DETAIL:: We want to create at least 14 books in this series. Each book will cover the story of a serial killer from beginning to end. The books in this series do not have to connect as they will be independent of each other. The only connection should be the engaging story and the storytelling. ::RESEARCH:: We expect the writer to research the subjects to ensure the books are factually accurate. All names, dates, and facts need to be accurate and consistent. A page of citations will be required at the end of the book. ::REQUIREMENT SUMMARY:: - Extensive research for each book. The information must be accurate! Must use multiple resources. -MUST be a native English speaker -Attention to detail and well-proofread work is important to you -Meeting deadlines is CRITICAL (I can’t stress this enough) -Frequent, easy, and open communication -Open and willing to take constructive feedback -The ability to write in an engaging, conversational tone to keep our readers happy and engaged -Ability and capacity to create high-quality (NO FLUFF) books that meet the need of our target readers - Know how to use Track Changes in Microsoft Word (Important to our editing process). ::YOUR NAME:: Although this is a ghostwriting job, we do give writers the option to include their names in the book. But, it will be next to our publisher's name. Also, we can have your name on our website if you're interested. This is a way we help writers build some reputation as well. ::PROCESS:: Our goal is simple: strive for quality. We have 45 days for each project as a baseline; we can discuss any extra time on an as-needed basis. To ensure we have the best book for our readers, you will continue to work with our beta reader and editor after we receive the final draft. Right now, I cannot budget for more than $1.70/100 words. But, in some circumstances, negotiations can be made! Please provide up to 3 examples of your past work, either by attachment or links to published work. Also, please write an original sample of the story of the serial killer below. The word count can be 300-500 words. "Richard Chase" Please write it on a word document. The reason for this sample is so we can see your writing style, the depth of the content, and the way you explain a topic, in addition to the examples that you've shared with us. We take this process very seriously as we are looking for a serious long-term writer to join our team. If you're interested, please start your proposal with “TEAM 7," so I know you've read this post entirely and not just copied and pasted proposals. Thanks for your time. I look forward to speaking with you! Note: the rate in this job post is based on 28,000 words. Thank you, Jason
