Affinity Layout TOC for ePub

Job ID: 40296968

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I'm new to the new Affinity Layout app (on a Mac), and i need an expert to help me. I've converted my 280-page print book to an ebook layout but I i'm having trouble creating a functional, hierarchical Table of Contents that exports cleaning into an ePub file.

I've already used Paragraph Styles:to build a a multilevel TOC, but it renders oddly on the ToC page, The chapter and sub-section structure, especially in the Preface, gets jumbled. I also need help making the images stay where they belong and link to a separate image ToC.

I welcome help configuring everything— styles, anchors, image handling, metadata, and cover integration — so the export option produces a clean standards-compliant ePub (reflowable).

Once complete, I want the exported ePub file to be imported (without errors) onto all the major ebook platforms, including KDP, Draft2Digital and Apple Books.

Deliverables
• Updated .afpub file with hierarchical TOC configured
• Reflowable ePub file that passes EPUBCheck
• A short note explaining any style presets or export settings you touched, so I get educated.

Acceptance criteria
– Proven working knowledge if the latest Affinity Layout software.
– Each TOC entry jumps accurately to its target on multiple readers
– All images scale correctly, stay paired with captions, and appear in an image ToC
– No embedded fonts or assets are reported missing in EPUBCheck

If you are fluent in Affinity Layout (formally Affinity Publisher) export panel and know your way around EPUBCheck, this should be straightforward work. I’ll supply the existing file and image assets as soon as we agree on the timeline.

FYI, if you do not know Affinity expertly, no point in applying, try, because I need mentoring.
