Add features and interactions to a scatterplot in D3

I have created a scaterplot with some data i have, now I have to make it look really nice, add zoom in and out, tooltips, and area selection, finally I need sync selection to a heatmaps so when mouse over the scatterplot it marks a point in the heatmap
