Need to schedule content changes on Drupal website

I have installed the scheduler module https://www.drupal.org/project/scheduler/releases/2.0.0-rc8
I am able to add a date and time in the admin for it to be published at a future date (screenshot added)
But It stays unpublished after that time I added. I see that it needs a key in the cron settings so that might be the only thing needed to get it working...should be an easy task.
