Looking for a Drupal developer to help with an upgrade of a legacy Drupal 7.x site.
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
There is Drupal site which has not been properly maintained for several years and has gone through a few maintenance issues already. It was hosted at a company that was bought by GoDaddy -- GoDaddy is offering minimal support for legacy Drupal sites.

The requirements are:
* Upgrade to a stable version of Drupal.
* There was a custom pdf generation functionality which no more works. We need to re-enable PDF generation feature. We have some documentation and leads on updating the code and potentially fixing this -- but we'll need to see if coding adjustments are needed
* Migrating the site to a new cloud-based host for easy administration -- we should pick a host that is based in the US, easy to migrate to, and not too expensive. For example, a droplet through Digital Ocean could be about right. We are open for suggestions.
* We would appreciate 3 month support after this changes are done. Usually developers offer support for a month free. We are open to consider additional payment if required.
* We would also need a brief report on what changes were made in the process.
Developer must suggest and implement which version of Drupal is ideal to update to, to get the PDF feature working and to provide an easy maintenance and support experience for all involved.
Note that the site menu system is very specific and likely coded as a custom theme.
We have done a few Drupal migrations to wordpress. And building our team towards that. If this works out well, we have more potential work for the freelancer.
