Drupal website upgrade to Drupal 9 and small changes/implementations
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
We are an online tour operator and have a Drupal website done with Drupal 8. We have a few small implementations we would like to have on our website:
- Upgrade to Drupal 9 (it needs to be done before the other implementations)
- Drush command to delete all images in comments and posts before a specified date passed as an argument. We need the command to iterate through all comments and posts before the passed date, <img> tags should be commented and the target image (src) should be moved to a private directory preserving the relative path.
- Revision of the private massaging page. We have noticed that our users get confused with the private messages they receive. In fact, when a user gets a pm he receives a notification email in the inbox. In this email he finds a link to get to the pm page where he can reply to the message. However, we feel that the page they land on is not that clear since many users simply reply to the notification email, actually sending their reply to ourselves instead of the real sender. - Revision of the booking form (The booking form give a double option: “save” and “preview”. First thing first, we need to translate the terms in Italian: “salva” and “anteprima”. Secondly, many users don’t understand that if they click “preview” the booking is not done yet and that they have to go back to the previous page to save the form. It would be much easier if they had the “save” button in the preview page as well.)

- Implementing the social network sign-in in order to simplify sign-in and registration experiences for the users (Facebook, Google and Twitter);
- Implementing an anti-spam system from our contact form. At the moment we receive a lot of spam mail from our contact form: https://www.vagabondo.net/contact
. Note: we subscribe to the cleantalk service to automatically moderate spammer sign ups, maybe the same tool could be used for this form.
- Implementation of autosave as draft every few seconds for several content types/roles
- Implementation of CKEditor (Drupal WYSYWIG editor) to edit the pictures (Wordpress style)
