Drupal 8 homepage access due to node access module

I encountered an issue when I installed the node access module to prevent anonymous access to the nodes. After installation, and running rebuild permission, access to the homepage isn't accessible and the site goes into maintenance mode.

The website is based on Drupal 8

Looking for a quick and easy fix is highly needed.
