Drupal Website Maintenance Contractor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drupal contractor to join our team on a part-time, as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating our portfolio of Drupal websites, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a minimum of three years of experience with Drupal 9 or higher.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance of Drupal websites, including security updates, module updates, and core updates.
– Troubleshoot and fix any issues related to Drupal performance, functionality, or compatibility.
– Implement new features and improvements as requested, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to web best practices.
– Conduct site migrations both between Drupal versions and from outside platforms to Drupal, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
– Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute seamless integration of new modules or custom developments.
– Monitor website performance and take proactive steps to optimize for speed and efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:
– At least three years of hands-on experience with Drupal 9 or higher; familiarity with Drupal’s theming system and API.
– Proven track record of maintaining, updating, and troubleshooting Drupal websites.
– Experience with site migrations, including version upgrades within Drupal and migrations from other platforms to Drupal.
– Strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
– Knowledge of best practices in security and performance for Drupal sites.
– Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
– Theme and Module custom development skills. Able to debug and or update existing custom developed code.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Working Conditions:
– This is a contract position without a fixed schedule. Workload will be determined based on demand and project needs.
– Work can be performed remotely, with communication and collaboration taking place via email, chat, and video conferencing tools.
