Build a Drupal-Based Manuscript Submission System
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Design a manuscript submission system. The model we have in mind is that of submittable.com though on a somewhat more restricted scale. The system should allow:
- Authors to submit manuscript and be able to check status afterward (rejected/accepted, etc.), or withdraw submission.
- A quick registration process needs to be available to submitters to quickly sign onto site membership and submit right away.
- Allow editors the ability to consider the submissions and assign to specific staff members for action
- Allow editors to accept reject the submission and email submitters accordingly of status.
- I'm hoping the designer is able to use Drupal modules such as Views, Webform, etc. My preference is for Drupal 7, but I can convinced to go Drupal 8 if that will make the task much easier and quicker to accomplish.
I'm open to your proposals on how you'll accomplish and code this--tools, Drupal modules, custom modules, etc., along with some words and some details on the functionality you'll be able to provide to accomplish this. I would have coded this myself, but can't find enough time to complete it quickly given other editing and publishing responsibilities. That means I'll have little problem understanding your proposals and what will work best. I look forward to hearing back from all those interested!
