I would like a single, finished pencil-sketch artwork that captures a key scene or character from my book. The style must be true-to-life realism—clean, detailed line work with careful shading and depth, as though the image has stepped straight off the page.

Here’s how I picture the collaboration:
• I’ll send you the excerpt, a brief note on mood and any visual references I already have.
• You translate that into a refined concept sketch, check the composition with me, then complete the full-value drawing on quality paper.
• Final delivery should include a high-resolution scan (300 dpi or higher, PNG or TIFF) plus a well-lit photo of the physical piece; if you can ship the original, let’s discuss shipping options separately.

Accuracy to the text matters most—expressions, props and setting details need to match what’s written—while still allowing your artistic flair in the pencil work. Two rounds of minor revisions after the first preview will be perfect.
